Streetwear, originating from subculture groups, has grown to impact fashion significantly, even high fashion in reverse. ReStreeted takes streetwear as the main theme, analyzing diverse communities formed on the streets and delivering stories from diverse groups in our society.
As the President of the student committee for the preparation of the 2024 SKKU Dept. of Fashion Design Thesis Collection Show, I have served as a leader in planning the show with the concept, organization of bachelor's degree thesis assessment, the orientation of the show and collection, and management of the whole process. Also, I was in the middle of the decision-making process for this process, facilitating communication among members and being in charge of interactions and communication with advisors, student designers, and committee members.
Our committee consisted of seven teams: the Panning Team, Video and Web Team, Administration Team, Public Relations Team, Catalog Team, External Relations Team, and Accounting Team.
We started by gathering ideas for the collection name and specific theme and selecting agents to organize the event. We planned the three fittings with models and the graduation assessment. We gathered ideas for eight stages of their specific themes derived from the main theme of streetwear and how we can present these different stages most effectively and integrate them into one show.
Our committee also planned the stage and show introduction videos, the show poster, souvenirs for the visitors, content for Instagram, our logos, and photo walls. We tried to create fashion communication that breaks away from standardized presentations and expresses our raw and untamed spirit and culture.
We also organized the staff management and protocols. We established how to utilize the budget and discussed ideas for employing it in the most effective manner. Additionally, we interacted with industry professionals regarding the show, their support, and maintained communication to ensure the best possible outcome.
